Stimulating course content
Our BSc Biomedical Science course covers a broad range of topics including anatomy and physiology, disease biology, molecular pathology and cell biology. Students engage with issues such as disease presentation, diagnosis, prognosis and choice of patient treatment.
Practical techniques covered on the course include:

During the final year of study, students have the opportunity to specialise, and will complete an honours research project in a particular field of interest. Students may also have the opportunity to take part in work placements at an NHS hospital laboratory, with the possibility of transferring to the BSc (Hons) Applied Biomedical Science course.
